Jeannie Blair won a $1000 scholarship and an addditional $500 award from Johnson Inc. in recognition of Joe Berlando's contribution to the success of the benefit plan. Othe recipients of the $1000 scholarships who were unable to attend were Lisa Anderson (Calgary), Deedee Fulwiler ( Calgary), Christopher Gordon (Calgary), and Celia Lavers (Millet).

 

In keeping with its continuing support for education, ARTA has established a $5,000 annual scholarship fund. From this fund the Representative Committee selects up to three education students annually as recipients. The winners must have parents or grand-parents who are members of ARTA. Anyone wishing to apply for a scholarship should submit a request in writing to Alberta Retired Teachers' Association, #409, 11010 - 142 Street, N.W., Edmonton, Alberta. T5N 2R1
